Fund The Future Les Cheneaux Community Schools Fundraising Campaign

The first step in meeting our school's budget crisis is to raise the funds we need to get through the current school year. A Fund the Future fundraising campaign has been initiated based on the concept of 400 "blocks" of $250 each need to cover the 2008-09 deficit. In a coordinated effort under the Fund the Future campaign, various groups and sectors of our community will be invited to participate by "adopting" the number of blocks equal to the dollar amount they think they can raise. A Cedarville Trojan head outline will be divided into the needed blocks and displayed prominently outside the school. As each block amount is raised, a block of the Trojan head will be filled in. All fund raising efforts and tax deductible donations will be handled through the Les Cheneaux Education Foundation.

1st National Bank of St. Ignace - Les Cheneaux Branch

The crew at the Cedarville branch of 1st National Bank of St. Ignace presents a donation to Fund the Future. Thank you for your support!

The Dodge Pickup Truck Raffle ended on September 5th during the Art in the Park event in Cedarville. The total ticket sales needed to raffle the truck was 1,500. The Fund the Future campaign only sold a total of 725 tickets, providing a cash prize award of $9,050 to the winner.

The raffle winner was Gene Schrader of Cedarville. Gene donated her winnings to 10 local churches. $9,050 was awarded to the school towards this years economic struggles.

An enormous Thank You to everyone who purchased a ticket and supported our community.
