	Regional / Local Events & Activities       Youth Boating Safety Course Open to youth ages 12 -16 (adults welcome too) This course is required to obtain a boating license. Two sessions will be held. Session Two: Tuesday & Wednesday August 3rd & 4th, 2010 6 pm to 8 pm at Clark Township Fire Hall Free of Charge Pre-Registration is Required by calling John Griffin at 906 484-2022 The class will be taught by Mackinac County Sheriff's Deputy, Tom Sherlund. Individuals successfully completing the course will receive a FREE adult life vest courtesy of LCIA. Sponsored by The Les Cheneaux Islands Association   Attention Boaters! Are you a Dock Banger?     Do you still get tangled in your lines? Is your idea of landing to shut your eyes, aim for the dock and cut your engines? Here's your chance to polish your rusty boat skills with hands-on coaching by experts. Sessions include practice in docking, leaving the dock, line handling, and any other information you might request. John Griffin and Diane Patrick will share their years of boating experience to provide complimentary coaching sessions for individuals or small groups, using your boat or theirs.
